Easy: A friendly first cross-country — great early solo-certificate trip.

The Flight Deck Diner sits on the historic Naval Air Station Wildwood field, sharing the ramp with the NASW Aviation Museum's hangar full of warbirds. Order the pork roll (it's South Jersey — say 'pork roll'), then walk off breakfast among the aircraft next door.

The return leg is the real dessert: follow the coastline north past Wildwood, Ocean City, and Atlantic City at 2,000 feet and remind yourself why you got the certificate.

Pork roll, egg and cheese in a WWII hangar complex, then an hour in the museum. Flew the coastline home at 2,000 ft past AC. A perfect club day, full stop.

Did this as my first long solo cross-country as a student member. Big runways, easy pattern, huge confidence builder. Diner was cash-friendly and fast.
