Hudson River Corridor — Manhattan Skyline Run

The Hudson River VFR corridor is one of the great free sights in world aviation: a slot under the New York Class B that takes a Skyhawk past the entire west side of Manhattan. Round trip from Lakewood in about an hour and a quarter, with the skyline out the right window northbound and the left window coming home.

It demands respect and preparation — mandatory reporting points, one-way traffic flows on each side of the river, helicopters below you, and everyone self-announcing on the common frequency. Do the homework, brief your passenger on the silence rules, and it's as safe as it is unforgettable. First run with a club CFI is the club-recommended way in.
