Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome

Old Rhinebeck is the real thing: fabric-and-wire antiques from the 1900s–1930s, flown in weekend airshows by people who maintain them the way our crew chiefs wish they could. The museum is open daily in season; Saturday and Sunday afternoons add the airshow — a Fokker triplane dogfight beats any streaming service.

Fly into Kingston-Ulster (20N) on the west bank of the Hudson and take a short rideshare across the river to the aerodrome. The flight up the valley is half the trip — combine it with the corridor run south for the full Hudson day.
