Sky Manor Airport Restaurant
Sky Manor Airport, Pittstown, NJ
Easy: A friendly first cross-country โ great early solo-certificate trip.
Sky Manor is what every pilot restaurant wishes it were โ an actual good restaurant that happens to sit on an airport. The dining room looks straight out at the runway, the burgers are honest, and on weekends half the tables are flight jackets.
The flight over is a pleasant half hour across central Jersey farmland, and the pattern is friendly to visitors. Go early on Sunday or expect a wait โ which, given the ramp-side people-watching, is not a punishment.

Took N93KK up on a Sunday morning โ 32 minutes wheels to wheels. Bacon cheeseburger by the window watching a Stearman do laps. This is the whole reason I joined the club.
Brought my daughter for her first small-plane trip. Staff made a huge fuss over her, and the pattern was calm. The crab cake sandwich beats the burger โ I said what I said.
Forty-minute wait at noon on Saturday. Food worth it, but go early. Watch the grass parking after rain.
