Wash & Wax moves to Sunday, September 20 — with breakfast, live music, and an SR-22 raffle

Mark the new date: this fall's semi-annual wash and wax lands on Sunday, September 20 at 9:00 AM on the MAFC ramp at Lakewood (N12) — rain or shine.

And it's grown into a proper ramp party. Hot breakfast for pilots, crew, and family — on us. Live music on the ramp all morning. Chuck's brand-new Cessna 182, parked and ready to admire. And every attendee is entered to win a ride in a Cirrus SR-22.

One more reason it matters: we're holding an important general membership meeting the same day, with a vote on bylaws changes — and the vote happens ONLY if enough members are there. Quorum is real; your attendance is the difference between deciding and postponing.

The airplanes still get washed, of course — it's equal parts maintenance, inspection, and social hour, and you learn more about an airframe with a sponge in your hand than you ever will from a checklist. Prospective members are very welcome: this counts as one of your two qualifying meetings, and it's the best possible morning to meet the people you'd be flying with.

The left seat is closer than you think.

Come to a meeting — third Saturday, 9:00 AM, Lakewood Airport. Shake some hands, kick some tires, and see what flying costs when nobody's making a profit on you.
